Mission statement

The Climate Reality Project, San Diego Chapter’s Climate Policy Pod advocates for and educates our local, state, and federal leaders to urgently enact effective climate policies across all sectors based upon the best available science and that create a healthier environment and more resilient communities for all life.

Our pod focuses on the following areas:

  1. Climate Action Plans

  2. Land Use

  3. Water 

  4. Transportation

  5. Plastics 

  6. Waste

Team accomplishments

  1. Met with 2020 San Diego County Board of Supervisors candidates to present climate crisis information and our climate policy priorities for the County. 

  2. Submitted Climate Action Plan update recommendations to the City of San Diego.
